Audi A4 - Video tutorial

Model: Audi A4 B6 - Years 2000-2004
Part: Drive shaft
Operation: Constant velocity joint replacement on the wheel side

Raise the car on suitable car stands and remove the front wheel where the repair is to be carried out. Then unscrew the central pin fixing the semi-shaft to the hub and proceed with the removal of the plastic stone guard from under the engine compartment to reach the joint on the gearbox side. At this point unscrew the fixing pins of the coupling to the gearbox and extract it from its seat and then from the side of the hub. Remove the boot from the joint on the wheel side and extract the joint itself; then insert the new boot and apply the new joint to the drive shaft after filling it with the special grease; fasten the boot with the clamps and proceed backwards to install the drive shaft.

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
