To replace the headliner in an Audi A4, detach the plastic covers from the door pillars using a tool like a screwdriver. Once these are removed, you can take off the handles, the courtesy light housing, the rearview mirror, and the sun visors. All these parts must be removed by unscrewing the appropriate mounting screws or disengaging the components from their housing. When all parts are removed, extract the headliner from inside the cabin so it can be replaced.
