MMI System Functionality Checks for Audi

The issues with the Audi MMI (Multi Media Interface) system are numerous, and many owners of vehicles equipped with this system report various defects, from sudden shutdowns to audio loss and the inability to enter a location on the navigation system. The causes of malfunction are not well understood, as it is a complex system made up of several control units (navigation unit, radio, phone, amplifier) located in different areas of the vehicle, and in many cases, it involves an interruption of an unidentified fiber. Before attempting various replacements, a first step can be to disconnect the power to the different control units to try to reset them: one is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, and the others are on the sides, inside the trunk.
