First, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the old automatic shift knob; to do this, pry on the sides of the boot to detach it, then press on the base of the knob to pull it off and remove it upwards, as shown in the video.

At this point, separate the boot from the shift knob, or directly replace the whole assembly; all that's left is to reassemble everything!
