Replacing the Shift Knob on an Audi A4

Let's look at removing the shift knob from an Audi A4. Enter the cabin of the A4 and locate the boot covering the shift lever. Detach the boot's trim by lifting it off the center console. Remove the metal clamp that secures the knob. Hold the knob and twist it left and right until it comes off the shift lever. Take the new knob and slide it onto the lever on the center console, securing it with the clamp. Install the new leather boot with clips onto the center console. Test the knob and boot in all their parts.
