How to disassemble the steering of the Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 8P, MK 2 - Years 2003-2013
Part: Steering wheel

Before explaining how to disassemble the Audi A3 steering wheel, we remind you that it is highly recommended to disconnect the battery before any operation so as to preserve the integrity of the entire electrical system and the Airbag. First unlock the steering distance adjustment system and position the steering wheel as far as possible from the dashboard. Then remove the small plastic cap located on the upper part of the steering wheel and, with the help of a 30 mm wrench, unscrew the screw present. Do the same for the lower screw as well. At this point, pull the central part of the steering wheel towards you and disconnect the orange connector first and then the black one. Finally, unscrew the central screw and pull the remaining part of the steering towards you.
