Operation: How to replace the V-belt

Correct installation of the V-belt can extend its life and improve its performance. You must therefore make sure that the assembly is correct and that the pulleys are aligned and fitted correctly and the bolts and screws must be tightened to the recommended torque. The used belt can be removed easily by moving the motor until the tension on the belt is reduced. Before using it, make sure that the belt is completely dry and clean. Lastly, the belt must be run in. This process consists of operating the transmission, leaving it running at full load, then stopping it and checking and re-tensioning according to the recommended values.

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
