How do you replace the alternator on the Audi A6?

Model: Audi A6 MK 3, C6 - Years 2004-2012
Part: Alternator

Before being able to replace the Audi A6 alternator, you need to open the tailgate of the car, lift the carpet at the base of the trunk and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. At this point the bonnet can be opened, so that the trapezoidal belt can be identified on the left side of the engine block: by removing the belt, it will be possible to identify the alternator, which must be released from its seat by unscrewing the fixing screws and unplugging the power cords. Once the old alternator has been removed, a new one can be inserted and all the removed parts can be fitted.
