How to Replace the Audi A1 Remote Key Battery

To replace the battery in the Audi A1 key, start by taking the key. Insert a small flathead screwdriver into the slot at the bottom of the key and lift off the cover. Once the cover is removed, note that the battery to be replaced is a "CR 2032" model, and take it out of the packaging. Use the small flathead screwdriver to lift the battery inside the remote and remove it. After removing the old battery, take the new battery, remove the child safety seal, and insert it into its slot until it clicks into place. Once the new battery is inserted, close the remote by refitting the cover until you hear it click into place. Finally, test the new remote battery on the car.
