Replacing the Engine Air Filter

Replace the engine air filter in your car approximately every 31,000 mi. Do not confuse it with the cabin air filter. The engine air filter filters the air coming from outside and directed into the combustion chamber. The cabin air filter filters the air that will be directed into the car's heating and air conditioning system. It is advisable to always purchase original replacement parts that are perfectly compatible with the vehicle's mechanical components. Check the owner's manual for the diagram showing the engine compartment and locate the air filter. To remove it, use a hex screwdriver.
