How to Repair the Gear Shift Lever on an Audi TT MK1

In this video tutorial, we can see how to repair the gear shift lever on an Audi TT MK1 that has a broken rubber bushing. To disassemble, you need to detach the plastic cover of the handbrake using a Torx wrench and disconnect the plug located under the cover. Put the car in neutral and unscrew the shift knob; in front of the shifter, there are buttons that you need to lift and disconnect the plugs using a screwdriver. Once the buttons are removed, lift and remove the glove compartment; at this point, use a Torx wrench to unscrew the fasteners of the center console. Once all the screws are removed, you can lift the center console to take it out. Now you can replace the rubber bushing by installing a new one. Once the bushing is in place and the issue is resolved, reassemble all parts in reverse order.
