If the smart remote of your Audi Q5 second generation (2017-2022) is no longer recognized by the control unit or simply does not function correctly, it means that the battery inside is completely drained and needs to be replaced. To perform this operation, simply eject the physical emergency key by pressing the designated metal button and remove the rear cover with a standard flathead screwdriver. Once this is done, all you need to do is remove the old battery and replace it with a new, fully compatible one.
