How to Change the Key Battery of an Audi A3 8L

This short video tutorial shows the steps needed to replace the batteries in the remote key of a first-generation Audi A3, produced from 1996 to 2003. Start by inserting a small flathead screwdriver into the slot on the back of the remote and gently pry apart the lower and upper sections. Once separated, take the lower part of the remote and open it with your hands. Remove the two old batteries and insert two new ones before finally closing the remote. The required batteries are two CR1620, 3V.
