To reset the Service light on an Audi A6, turn on the ignition and then start the engine by inserting the key into the ignition switch and pressing the appropriate button. Next, press the CAR button located on the center console of the vehicle: this will display a message on the central screen asking if you really want to reset the maintenance interval.

By selecting "Yes", the Service light will completely disappear from the instrument cluster, and you can then turn off the ignition.
