How to replace the rear headlight bulb of a BMW 5 Series?

To replace the rear headlight bulb of a BMW 5 Series, start by turning off the vehicle and ensuring that the power is disconnected to avoid short circuits. Open the trunk and locate the internal access panel, located behind the rear headlight inside the vehicle. Usually, this panel can be removed by hand or with the help of a small tool like a screwdriver. Once the panel is removed, you will have access to the headlight optical group. You will find the bulb holder inside the group. Gently rotate it counterclockwise to remove it. At this point, remove the burnt bulb from its housing, being careful not to damage the electrical contacts. Take the new bulb, which must be of the same type and wattage as the one being replaced, and insert it into the bulb holder. Reinsert the bulb holder into the optical group, rotating it clockwise until it is securely fixed. Finally, reposition the access panel and make sure it is securely closed. Once the replacement is complete, turn on the vehicle and check that the new bulb is working properly.
