In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the fuel filter on a BMW X5, first generation E53 model. Start by lifting the vehicle and removing the protective panel as shown in the video.

To do this, you need to remove all the screws along its edge using a 12mm wrench. Once the panel is removed, loosen the mounting bars of the filter and remove the fuel line clamps with a flathead screwdriver.

At this point, place a container under the filter to catch any fuel, then disconnect the inlet and outlet fuel lines. Proceed to remove the old filter and replace it with a new one by following the reverse procedure.
