How to reset the oil light on the BMW 5 Series

Once the procedure for replacing the motor oil and oil filter is completed, we proceed with resetting the oil light. To perform the reset on the 2018 BMW 5 Series, we need to turn on the instrument panel and press the button on the left of the panel to access the settings menu. Scroll through the options until you select "OIL LIFE" and hold the button down until the light is completely reset. Turn off and on the instrument panel a second time to complete the reset of the light. If any problems arise, it is necessary to proceed with a diagnostic scanner.
