In this guide for all BMW 5 Series F11 owners (2010-2017), you will learn the steps to manually reset the engine oil light. First, get inside the car and take your seat at the driver's position.

Next, turn on the ignition. Locate and press the button under the fuel gauge, and release it as soon as the new menu appears on the display.

Now, press the same button multiple times until you find the option for oil life remaining. Finally, hold it down until the reset is complete.
