How to Reset the Brake Pad Replacement Light on BMW 5 Series (F11)?

If the brake pad replacement light appears on the dashboard of BMW 5 Series (F11) models produced from 2010 to 2017, first check through the onboard computer whether it concerns the front or rear pads. After replacing the pads and the corresponding wear sensor, you can reset the light as follows: enter the vehicle, turn on the ignition (engine off), disengage the electronic parking brake, press and hold the button at the bottom left of the dashboard until the display enters maintenance mode. Now select the item to reset by clicking the same button. Once you reach the item to reset (if the reset is possible), hold the button until the reset occurs, then turn off the ignition.
