If you own a BMW 5 series you can change the oil and replace the relative filter without going to the mechanic. Loosen and unscrew the bolt that acts as the oil pan plug located under the car. Collect the oil in a disposal container. Clean the cap and place it as before. With a small hexagonal pocket unscrew the piston that blocks the filter cap and extract the old filter; compare it with the new one. Replace the three worn rubber seals with new ones (supplied with the new filter). To help you with this replacement, use a metal hook. Grease the new seals with a little oil. Position the filter and its cap as before. Now remove the cap on the plastic cover that covers the engine. Place a funnel and fill the sump with new oil, checking the level with the dipstick.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
