How to disassemble the door panel of a BMW 3 Series?

To remove the door panel of a BMW 3 Series, start with the door closed to facilitate access. Remove the fixing screws along the bottom edge and under any decorative covers with a suitable screwdriver. Use a panel removal tool carefully to release the clips without damaging them. Lift the panel upwards and towards you once it is released, being careful of the electrical connectors for the window and mirror controls. Disconnect the connectors, then store the panel before reassembling it in reverse order, ensuring that the clips are aligned and the connectors reconnected before tightening the screws and checking the operation of the electric controls.
