How to remove the exterior rearview mirror of a BMW 3 Series? Let's see how to proceed: using a plastic or rubber pry tool, pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass. Pry until the glass separates from the mirror; this operation is very delicate because the glass or the mirror itself could break.

Once the damaged mirror is removed, unscrew the round plastic plate with a screwdriver. Attach the mirror to the mirror mount plate.

Finally, snap the plastic clips into the supports of the mirror.
