How to replace the timing belt of the BMW 3 Series

The replacement of the timing belt is a maintenance operation that can be carried out independently. To perform this operation on a BMW 3 Series, we must open the front hood and then lift the vehicle. Using a torque wrench, we loosen the belt tensioner roller in order to loosen the pulley and remove the timing belt. We insert the new timing belt and using the torque wrench, tighten the pulley and the belt tensioner roller. We then start the car's engine to tension the belt and test its operation.
