These short and simple steps will show us how to disassemble and replace the battery of the BMW X5 key remote. First, take the remote in hand and start by removing the physical key from it; then remove the plastic back cover, leveraging the key slot, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the battery to replace it with a new one, of the correct type (in this case a CR 2032 3V); insert the battery in the correct direction and reassemble the back cover of the remote, finally inserting the key!
