If the key for your BMW Series 3 E90 is no longer working due to a dead battery, you can follow the procedure below to quickly and safely replace the battery. First, you need to purchase a new CR2032 battery.

Then, take the key and unscrew the small screw located on the back of the cover. Once you have done that, remove the back cover and locate the dead battery that needs to be replaced.

Finally, remove the dead battery and insert the new one. Reassemble the back cover, and the procedure is successfully completed.
