How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW X3

To reset the service light on a BMW X3, you need to turn on the instrument cluster without starting the engine. Next, press and hold the trip reset button until the maintenance menu appears on the display. With brief presses of the same button, you can scroll through the various available options, such as oil change, brake pads, or other scheduled services. After selecting the desired option, hold the button until the confirmation request appears, then keep it pressed again to complete the reset. Once the operation is finished, the display confirms that the maintenance interval has been reset. To verify the procedure's success, simply turn off and then turn on the instrument cluster again.
