This first part of the video shows how to remove the stock speaker of a BMW X3 in the passenger side. First you need to lower the window to be more comfortable in subsequent operations. We start by removing the small cover that says "airbag" with a plastic spatula. Then you have to loosen the screw under the cover with a Phillips screwdriver (tip 30). Always with a plastic spatula you have to remove the cover of the side handle (it is better to start from the bottom and use your fingers to disengage it). Three screws will now be discovered which will need to be removed. Now the door panel can be removed (again with the help of the plastic spatula to be used as a lever to help release the anchoring clips). Don't forget to remove the screw (and its plastic cover) placed under the armrest! Once the panel has been removed, the connections must be disconnected and the airbag must be unscrewed with an 8mm screwdriver. The latter can be temporarily tied with a band to the door. Once the panel has been detached, you can work on it and proceed to disassemble the speakers. It is necessary to unscrew the fixing bolts placed around the speaker then, with a metal tip, remove the three clips placed around the tweeter. Now both the tweeter and the loudspeaker can be raised.
