Replacing the Remote Battery on BMW 3 Series E46 - X3 E83

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the battery of the key remote on the BMW 3 Series E46, as well as on the X3 E83 (first generation). First, take your diamond key and pry open the sides with something thin to separate the remote into two parts; this will give you access to the battery compartment, which you will remove as shown in the video. At this point, remove the battery and replace it with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a 3V LIR 2025); then reassemble everything!
