Learn how to turn off the maintenance light on a BMW X5 when it appears on the instrument cluster display. Enter the cabin and turn on the instrument cluster using the button; navigate to the settings menu (hold down the left button).

After holding it down, scroll until you find the maintenance message. Select the desired maintenance option and press the previously held button firmly.

Turn off the instrument cluster after the light has been turned off. Always remember to make changes to the vehicle with the engine off. Use the instrument cluster menu to modify the vehicle settings.
