Replacing the Center Brake Light on BMW Z4

Model: BMW Z4 E85, E86 - Years 2002-2008

First, remove the horizontal red plastic cover typical of the center brake light. If you cannot detach it by hand, use a plastic pry tool or a small flathead screwdriver to leverage it in the seams. Open the small trunk hatch and remove the three 8 mm bolts that secure the LED from inside the vehicle. This will allow you to take out the LED strip that serves as the third brake light and disconnect its connector. Now, reverse the steps for installation: insert the new LED strip after connecting its connector, tighten the bolts, and replace the cover.
