Replace the key battery on a BMW Z4. Take your remote key and use a screwdriver to pry between the two halves of the plastic key cover until they separate. Remove the worn battery, and take a new one of the same size and voltage.

Insert the new battery into the key cover (make sure it fits securely). Reassemble the cover onto your remote by pressing it until you hear it click into place.

Check the remote's functionality by simply pressing the buttons on it.
