In this brief and simple guide, learn how to disassemble and replace the battery in the key remote for the BMW Z4, as well as the X3 E83 and the 3 Series E46. First, take your remote and use something thin to pry open the sides to remove the casing from the key. Once the electronic board is removed, take out the battery as shown in the video.

Now, replace it with a new one of the correct type; simply insert it in the correct orientation and reassemble the electronic board and casing onto the key!
