Replacing the Trunk Button on BMW X3

Model: BMW X3 MK 2, F25 - Years 2010-2017

The same method should work on other BMW vehicles produced in the same years. Since the button is not working, open the trunk using the key, then remove the cover of the button by prying around the gap with a plastic wedge or a flathead screwdriver. Once you have pulled the button out of its housing, disconnect the connector and you're done. Install the new button by connecting it to the connector and push it back into place; there are no screws, it simply snaps in. Very easy, right? This is a very simple and quick operation.
