BMW Serie 3 - Video tutorial
Model: BMW Serie 3
E46
- Years 1998-2006 In order to get started, we will have to open the hood, thus obtaining all the space necessary to work. As soon as we have opened the hood, we begin to disassemble the engine cover, and then disassemble the water pump, alternator, radiator fan, all the pulleys and the two service belts (to be able to disassemble them we can opt to work from under the machine ). When we have finished disassembling all these components, we will begin to disassemble the crankcase that acts as a protection of the timing chain. To be able to disassemble it, it is necessary to unscrew the bolts placed along the entire perimeter of the crankcase. Once we have finished removing the casing we will disassemble the two chain guards which also act as tensioners, by unscrewing the relative bolts. Once this step is complete we will be free to remove the chain. When we have removed the worn chain, we will have to go and place the new timing chain. Once the new chain has been positioned, to reassemble everything, simply follow the steps in reverse. By doing so we will have successfully completed the replacement of our distribution chain.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
