How to Replace the Mirror Cap on a BMW 1 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 1 E81, E82, MK 1, E87 - Years 2004-2013

To replace the external mirror cap on the BMW 1 Series, use a plastic tool as a lever. Insert the lever into the gap between the cap and the trim around the mirror glass. Leverage along the entire length of the gap to disengage the retaining clips. Once the clips are released, you can remove the cap and replace it with a new one. Insert the new cap into the appropriate slots and secure it by engaging all the retaining clips.
