The fuses of the BMW 1 Series are located inside the fuse box. This is situated at the back of the glove compartment on the passenger side; to access it, open the glove compartment and release the retaining pins near the side pistons, allowing the compartment to lower fully.

This will provide access to the fuse box, where the positions and functions of the fuses are indicated in the vehicle's user manual.

For example, the fuses numbered 1, 50, and 79 in the manual control the operation of the windscreen wipers.
