Cleaning the Engine Air Filter

If the air filter does not need to be replaced, cleaning may be necessary. To perform a proper and thorough wash, obtain a suitable cleaner. First, clean the filter of impurities using compressed air. Then apply the cleaner, spraying it thoroughly in every space of the filter. After allowing it to sit, rinse the filter thoroughly in water, blowing compressed air inside again. Let it dry using an absorbent cloth and more compressed air. Before reinstalling, apply a special oil in its cavities to improve performance and increase proper functioning over time, reducing wear.
