How to replace the battery in the key of a BMW 5 Series

Model: BMW Serie 5 F11, F10 - Years 2010-2017

Let's start by pressing the button on the back side of the key, thus unlocking the emergency key, and then go and remove it. Once this step is complete, we will proceed with inserting the tip of a small flat-blade screwdriver into the slot located in the upper side of the key, and then prying. By doing this we will have removed the cover of the exhausted battery, which we are going to remove from its housing. Subsequently, to mount the new battery and close the key, we will simply have to follow these instructions, but in reverse. By doing so we will have successfully completed the replacement.
