Repair the Central Locking System

This video shows how to fix the malfunction of the central locking system on a BMW 5 Series. The problem, in this case, comes from the partial response to the command for opening and closing the doors activated by the remote. The malfunction is limited to the rear doors and the trunk, which remain closed despite the opening command. After locating the fuse box (located in front of the passenger seat), remove the cover that protects it. Get the fuse usage map from the vehicle's owner’s manual. Using a pair of tweezers (already included in the fuse box), extract and check the fuse corresponding to the function you want to check. Inspect the metal tab of the fuse and replace it if necessary. Now test the operation of the locking system.
