Central Locking Malfunction Issues

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Door lock

This video simply illustrates some of the problems that can arise when using the central locking system. In this specific case, as you can see from the images, the key fob does not operate all the locks since the driver's side door remains locked. It does not necessarily mean that the problem is with the key fob, as the locks on the other doors work. In cases like this, you may need to remove the inner door panel and check the actual door lock as well as any electrical connections. To bypass this issue, you will need to open the door by inserting the key into the lock. With the key inserted, turning it slightly will not work because it operates through the electrical system, so you must fully turn the key (to the right or left depending on whether you want to open or close) until the door unlocks mechanically.

How to Deactivate the Immobiliser on the Renault Clio

The immobiliser, also known as the immobilizer, is an electronic security device fitted to cars that prevents the engine from running unless a correct code is transmitted from the remote to the ignition system via a transponder. If, when starting our vehicle, the immobiliser light remains on or continues to flash, follow the instructions below to unlock it. First, insert the key into the ignition, press the button in the centre of the key, and turn the key to position 1 and then immediately to position 2. At this point, the immobiliser LED will turn off, and you will be able to start the engine.
