How to replace the key battery in a BMW 1 Series E87

In this video we will see the procedure for replacing the battery of the key of a BMW 1 Series E87. There are 2 different procedures. As a first step, help yourself with a flat-blade screwdriver or a file and pry the slot at the top of the cover. Now the battery can be replaced. Otherwise as an alternative procedure there is to buy a new cover so you can also break the old key by recovering the section of the chips to be inserted in the new one. In order to proceed, however, it will be necessary to follow a welding procedure of some points provided in the chip.
