Removing the arm rest unit in an automobile is a complex and difficult process but not impossible to do. First, the shift boot has to be started until it pops out and then, under the shift console, push up the bottom of the button until it pops out. You will see a screw that holds the center console down and needs to be removed. The ashtray has to be pulled out and removed, along with the cup holder unit. This is how it was time to remove the armrest. First, the covers around the armrest must be removed. Back cover first. The armrest must then be rotated into a vertical position, inserting a screwdriver into the hole to apply pressure and free the lateral pins.
