Removing the Armrest Unit

Removing the armrest unit in a car is a complex but not impossible process. First, start the gear shift boot until it pops out. Then, under the gear console, push up the bottom of the button until it pops out. You will see a screw holding the center console down that needs to be removed. Pull out the ashtray and remove it, along with the cup holder unit. Now it's time to remove the armrest. First, remove the covers around the armrest, starting with the rear cover. Then, rotate the armrest to a vertical position, inserting a screwdriver into the hole to apply pressure and release the side pins. Once the pins on both sides are released, you will be able to lift the armrest.
