How to Replace the Timing Chain on a BMW 3 Series?

To replace the timing chain on a BMW 3 Series, open the hood and remove the plastic cover located on top of the engine block: this will allow access to the front of the engine, where the pulleys are located around which the chain is arranged. By unscrewing the screws that secure the timing chain protective panel, you can loosen the center nuts of the pulleys and those that secure the tensioner: by reducing the tension, the chain can be removed and replaced with a new one, then reinstall all the removed components.
