How to Adjust the Handbrake on BMW 1 Series

In this video, adjust the handbrake on the BMW 1 Series. Pull the handbrake lever up one click. Then, using a 12 mm spanner, loosen the lock nut while using a 6 mm spanner to turn the adjuster until the wheel is almost locked. At this point, tighten the lock nut again with the 12 mm spanner. Now release the handbrake and check that the wheel is free again. Next, pull the handbrake lever up at least three clicks and ensure the wheel is fully locked. After this simple operation, the handbrake is properly adjusted.
