How to Remove the Center Console of the BMW 3 Series?

To remove the center console of the BMW 3 Series, start by pulling out the ashtray located just behind the armrest: this will provide access to the screws underneath that need to be loosened. This way, the central part of the panel can be removed, and by accessing all the screws underneath, you can also remove the rear part of the console. Next, proceed to detach the front part of the console: this can be removed by lifting the shift boot and prying from inside its housing. By disconnecting all the internal clips and the underlying connectors, you can remove all the panels that make up the console and replace them with new pieces.
