Let's see how to remove the center console trim panel on a BMW 3 Series. Position the gear shift knob vertically, then use a plastic pry tool to remove the trim located at the bottom of the center console.

After removing the plastic trim, unscrew the screws located under the removed cover with a screwdriver. Once this is done, pull out the control dial (disconnect any power cables).

Finally, insert the new piece into the center console trim and reinstall all components.
