How to Install Roof Rails on the BMW X1?

To install the roof rails on the BMW X1, access the interior of the vehicle to remove all components that prevent the headliner from being taken down. Start by removing the screws that secure the side handles, the courtesy light assembly, the sun visors, etc. Once these parts are removed, detach the covers of the pillars on all doors to allow the headliner to be removed. This will provide access to the screws that secure the longitudinal trim pieces on the roof from the inside: these can now be detached so that the roof rails can be secured in their housing.
