Functions of the BMW Key

Let’s look at the various functions of the BMW key: on the remote, there are four buttons. Pressing the button with the logo locks the vehicle. If you hold it down, the mirrors will fold in, and if there are any open windows, they will close automatically. The button above has a padlock: pressing it unlocks the vehicle, and holding it down will open all the windows. The button below the logo controls the tailgate: pressing it will open the tailgate, while holding it down will close the tailgate until the operation is complete. The button at the bottom is a wildcard button, which can be programmed from inside the vehicle to turn on the lights for 40 seconds or to open the tailgate or rear window.
