How to replace the case and key of the BMW Series F (vehicles produced from 2011 to 2018)

In this video, we are shown how to replace the shell and battery of a BMW F series remote control. This designation refers to a generation of models indicated by the letter F in the platform code, which includes many models: Series 1; Series 5; Series 7; Series 3; M3; M4 produced within the specified time range. We remove the emergency key, which we will need to open the cover. We then find the battery, which is a standard CR2032; then, using a flathead screwdriver, we separate the parts of the key; we remove the electronic board and place it in the new case, position the new battery, and snap the top part of the new case in place, then insert the emergency key. We can find the case, for example, on mr-key.com with the code 66129259721 for the 868 MHz at 27.99 euros and HUF5767, HUF5663, 5WK49662 for the 434 MHz at 24.99 euros.
