How to replace the battery in the BMW F series key

After purchasing a 3-volt button battery (CR2450), press the button located on the back of the case to fully extract the metal key. Next, insert the key into the opposite hole, prying upwards, and use a screwdriver to remove the cover of the case. Now, remove the old battery and insert the new one with the positive side facing up. Always check that both batteries are of the same type and voltage. Then, reposition the cover by inserting it downwards and press to close it. Finally, insert the metal key into its designated slot.
